If I were in their position I might use synonyms (e.g. "pregnant individuals" instead of "pregnant people") or homoglyphs to make the banned terms impossible to search for (e.g. "ᏞԌΒΤ"). It would take someone reading through the entire paper to catch the substitutions.
I hope scientists take the opportunity to be sneaky or maliciously compliant/incompetent to defeat the intention of this order.
A great way to promote the scientific journals of the rest of the world. Being a European, I only can thank #Trump for doing that. The European Gouverments were not able to come up with something similarly effective.
Okay, so in Friendica, you can give your posts titles — which is awesome, makes it feel more like a blog potentially if you wanted to use it that way. But those titles don't work along with text in Mastodon, and maybe other ActivityPub settings, so unless you want your post to only be a hyperlink title to the microbloggers, you gotta just do the text thing. Which is fine I guess.
I'm still not actually sure if my profile picture is showing up for anyone but me. On my Mastodon account, I can't see it, which is odd. I wonder if it'll refresh at some point.

Tried again. Now to get the dang MSMTP shit to work... I set up a Mailu server and while I can access the admin control panel through the Cloudflare tunnel I have set up for its HTTP and HTTPS ports, I can't seem to get the mail account to resolve in Thunderbird. The alternative is just using my Disroot account as an admin account for Friendica but I can't seem to get that working either.
