The 2nd type, who voluntarily gives up their sovereignty in the way of US jurisdiction, have whole sections of their terms concerning US Laws and US based customers. If a fascist government says jump, these people will ask, how high?!
I encourage people to scrutinize my list. The old saying, "trust, but verify", is something I believe in.

I can add to the list for cloud storage and email providers: Disroot is located in the Netherlands. I don't know if they fit your definition of privacy-focused; one criticism against them is that emails are stored in plain text, but they have a good track record otherwise.

If I were in their position I might use synonyms (e.g. "pregnant individuals" instead of "pregnant people") or homoglyphs to make the banned terms impossible to search for (e.g. "ᏞԌΒΤ"). It would take someone reading through the entire paper to catch the substitutions.

Okay, so in Friendica, you can give your posts titles — which is awesome, makes it feel more like a blog potentially if you wanted to use it that way. But those titles don't work along with text in Mastodon, and maybe other ActivityPub settings, so unless you want your post to only be a hyperlink title to the microbloggers, you gotta just do the text thing. Which is fine I guess.

Tried again. Now to get the dang MSMTP shit to work... I set up a Mailu server and while I can access the admin control panel through the Cloudflare tunnel I have set up for its HTTP and HTTPS ports, I can't seem to get the mail account to resolve in Thunderbird. The alternative is just using my Disroot account as an admin account for Friendica but I can't seem to get that working either.
